Reflecting

I think it was a great learning experience for me since I'm just starting to use more of Figma and Miro and other programs, which helps me significantly to improve my learning.

What i learned

Through my experience in user experience design, I developed a strong foundation in critical thinking, which is essential for effectively addressing challenges in this field. I learned to systematically approach tasks by breaking them down to identify the core issues. This involved gathering user feedback, analyzing data patterns, and considering the broader context of user needs and behaviours. By employing various methodologies, such as user interviews and usability testing, I gained insights that clarified the problems and guided me toward practical and innovative solutions. This nuanced understanding has significantly enhanced my ability to design more effective and user-centred experiences.

Redesign of the Norwich Airport website, utilizing Miro for brainstorming and collaborative ideation, and Figma for crafting the user interface and visual elements.

I began by conducting a thorough analysis of the potential issues with the website. To do this, I created a detailed site map that helped me pinpoint specific areas for improvement. By visually organizing the content and structure, I was able to identify key sections that required enhancement. To further refine my focus, I utilized color-coded sticky notes to highlight priority areas that demand immediate attention. This method not only clarified the critical aspects of the site that needed work but also facilitated a more organized approach to addressing each issue effectively.

I began developing a comprehensive user flow diagram to understand the user's various actions better while navigating our system. This visual representation will help me pinpoint potential errors and identify any redundant or unnecessary steps that may complicate the overall experience. By analyzing these pathways, I aim to determine optimal areas where I can implement shortcuts or streamline processes, ultimately enhancing user accessibility and efficiency on the website. I started to make a user flow diagram to understand what actions the user goes through and where mistakes and useless added actions could complicate the system. Understanding this, I can visually see where I could add shortcuts, giving users a more effortless flow through the website

I am organizing sticky notes to determine which issues are the highest priority to fix and focus on. By identifying the problems, I can find potential solutions and generate ideas on where to direct my attention next.

Organising sticky notes into two overlapping circles to visually assess the relationship between diagnostic findings and user testing results. This approach will help us to identify and highlight the areas where user-reported issues coincide with our diagnostic analysis, allowing us to gain deeper insights into the problems users are experiencing. By documenting these perceptions, we can better understand user needs and prioritize improvements effectively.

By analyzing these examples, I aim to gather insights and inspiration that I can incorporate into my own project to enhance its functionality and user experience.that could help me see what other websotes doing good and which features i could use to include in my project

In my development process, I focused on creating a design that embodies a simplistic yet modern aesthetic. I opted for a four-column layout, which not only keeps the overall composition straightforward but also enhances readability and organization. Each column is carefully balanced, ensuring that the content flows seamlessly while allowing for a clean retrieval of information. Overall, I am pleased with the final outcome, as it aligns with my vision and effectively meets the needs of the users.
