Creating onboarding process
Reflecting
Working in a group on this project was an incredibly valuable part of the process. Collaborating with a team gave me the opportunity to engage with different perspectives on how to approach challenges and solve problems. Each member brought unique insights and skills, which helped shape our ideas and refine our solutions. Throughout the project, we learned to balance our individual strengths while making space for open discussion and feedback.
What i learned
Through this project, I learned how important it is to manage responsibilities within a team and to establish clear timelines for getting work done. Coordinating tasks and making sure everyone understood their role helped keep the project moving forward smoothly. I also realised the value of stepping in to make decisions when the team wasn’t sure how to proceed. Being able to guide the group and provide direction during moments of uncertainty helped us stay focused and productive. This experience taught me that good project management isn’t just about planning, it’s also about communication, leadership, and knowing when to take initiative.

RESEARCHING
As part of our design process, we invested time in researching similar websites to gather inspiration and better understand how others approach common UX and UI challenges. This involved analyzing layout structures, navigation patterns, visual hierarchies, and interactive elements to see what worked well and what could be improved. By studying a variety of examples, we were able to identify design trends, best practices, and creative solutions that informed our own approach.
user flow
Creating a user flow was a crucial part of our design process. It allowed us to visualize how users would navigate through the website, from the first interaction to completing key tasks. By mapping out each step of the journey, we were able to identify potential friction points and opportunities to streamline the experience. Understanding how users move through the product is especially important in the early stages, where first impressions and onboarding play a vital role in engagement. A clear, intuitive user flow helps guide users naturally, making it easier for them to explore, understand the value of the product, and stay engaged from the very beginning.

user flow
Mapping out the user flow, especially the path leading to sign-up or onboarding, is a key part of designing an effective user experience. It helps us understand how users move through a product and what motivates them to take action. By analysing how established websites structure their flows how they guide users, reduce friction, and encourage conversion we gain valuable insights into what works and why.

onboarding
Onboarding
We then focused on analyzing our client's existing onboarding process to understand how they currently introduce users to their product. This involved identifying the key steps, features, and interactions used during onboarding, as well as evaluating what worked well and what could be improved. We looked at how effectively the experience communicated value, guided the user, and encouraged engagement.

phycology / goals
phycology / goals
We then took a step further by exploring the psychological factors that influence user behavior specifically how users build trust, make decisions, and feel motivated to sign up or purchase a product. Understanding these behavioral patterns helped us identify key emotional triggers, such as clarity, social proof, and perceived value, that play a crucial role in user engagement. Based on this insight, we outlined clear goals and generated ideas aimed at improving the onboarding process. Our focus was on creating a more seamless, trustworthy, and motivating experience that would guide users with confidence from first interaction to conversion.

Low fidelity
We then began sketching out ideas for the website layout, exploring different structures and visual hierarchies to determine what would make the most effective and engaging homepage. This early stage allowed us to experiment with various concepts, test how users might interact with key elements, and decide which layout would best communicate the brand’s message while supporting the overall user journey. These sketches laid the foundation for our wireframes and helped us align on a clear direction moving forward.
Outcomes
The final outcome of the website and onboarding process successfully met our goals. We created a user-friendly experience that aligned with both the needs of the users and the objectives of the project. The design was clear, engaging, and effectively guided users through their journey from landing on the site to signing up. It was a rewarding process that not only produced a strong result but also gave us valuable experience working as a team
